How It All Began

As a child, I was introduced to ceramics at my primary school. It was the 1960s when my first teacher, Pérez Esquivel —future Nobel Peace Prize laureate— taught classes at the school I attended. That was where I first encountered clay, and where a deep desire to shape and model it was born.

Over the years, my academic and professional path kept me connected — albeit indirectly — with the visual arts, ceramics included.

In 1982, in the city of Río Gallegos in Argentine Patagonia, a coworker and friend fully introduced me to the world of ceramics. With great generosity, he shared all his knowledge and inspired me to develop as a versatile artisan. That friend and mentor is Jorge Trabanco, who remains my teacher to this day.

In 2015, while living in Entre Ríos, I built my first small ceramics workshop. It started with a homemade gas kiln and a rudimentary wheel that, far from making the work easy, required me to learn through persistence and patience.

In 2017, we returned to Patagonia, settling in Bariloche. There, I managed to build an electric wheel that met our needs and allowed me to continue refining my craft.

Along this journey, ceramics became a family project. Together with Claudia, my life partner, and our children, we fully embraced the art of handmade creation, enjoying the process of shaping materials with our hands. Wood, clay, textiles... everything inspires us and drives us to create.

In 2024, we built two new kilns — one gas and one electric — with greater capacity, enabling us to produce a wider variety of pieces. The combination of ceramics and wood in our work continues to renew our commitment to originality and design, always maintaining the spirit of 'versatile artisans.'
